We are very pleased to announce that 33063 having passed its fitness to run exam will now return to service this coming weekend on Sunday 25th October.
Preparation work to get to this stage has been quite intensive with a big push to get the loco into a usable state even though bodywork is still required to be completed. 33063 is required for the Polar Train Rides at Spa Valley utilising its ETH capabilities & will share the workload with Class 31 - 31430 on the diesel workings.
This coming Sunday, 25th October, will be the last chance this year to sample 33063 on the normal passenger services at Spa Valley as we then head into the festive season.
In the New Year 33063 is to return to the shed for the final stages of its bodywork overhaul and the much anticipated final repaint.
